Baked Talapia

An easy way to cook for one is to do a meat filet whether it be steak, pork, chicken, or in this case, fish.  This is a super simple, quick recipe for talapia, a fairly inexpensive white fish.

Prep Time: 10 min
Cook Time: 12-15 min
Total Time: 25 min
Yield: 1 servings, easily ratio-ed up for more
Taste: Mediocre

Ingredients:

1 Talapia fillet, 6 ounces
1/2 tbs butter, melted
1 tbs lemon juice
1/2 tsp garlic powder
dash of salt
1/8 tsp oregano
dash of paprika (or I prefer more spice with cayenne)

Procedure:

1) Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Place talapia in an ungreased baking dish.

2) In a small bowl combine butter, lemon juice, garlic powder and salt. Pour over the fillet. Sprinkle with oregano and paprika (or cayenne – caution a little cayenne can go a long way!).

3) Bake, uncovered for 12-15 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
