Tortilla Soup

Yield:  6 servings
Taste: Very Good

Ingredients:
2 cans (14.5 oz each) chicken broth
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes with jalepeno peppers, undrained
2 cups chopped carrots
2 cups frozen whole kernel corn
1.5 cup chopped onion
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
1 tbs chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
¼ tsp garlic powder
2 jalepeno peppers un-seeded and chopped
2 cups chopped uncooked chicken (optional)
Cilantro
Shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Tortilla chips, broken

Procedure:
1)  Combine broth, tomatoes with juices, carrots, corn, onion, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and chicken in slow cooker.  Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours.
2)  Ladle into bowls.  Top each serving with cilantro, cheese, and tortilla chips.
